W.I.L.T.:  I’ll never find a “soccer field” in Europe.  Now, I already knew “football” was the proper European nomenclature for soccer.  However, I joined a soccer team (football team) full of Irish and British mates, who made sure that I quickly learned that the flat, green venue is a “pitch.”  So, when in Europe and you feel the urge play soccer, ask for the nearest football pitch.

W.I.L.T.:  Dress socks prove to be the most valuable socks in my drawer.  I hardly ever wear dress socks, even when I wear dress shoes.  They only get the honor of leaving my drawer when all my white cottons have collected stench and  the laundry hasn’t been done.  I learned that due to some unknown circumstances, dress socks don’t harvest the stench as efficiently as cottons.  Recycling the same pair of dress socks daily with no consequential scent…nothing short of an epiphany.

WILT: “Rendevous” is not the correct spelling for a word to describe getting together.  The correct spelling is “Rendezvous.” When I secured the correct spelling, I searched synonyms so that I wouldn’t have to worry about misspelling this word again.  My favorites from the list are: engagement, blind date, hangout, haunt, tryst, muster, be closeted and the best one…”rub eyeballs.”

WILT: There is a massive telecommunications network of underwater sea internet cables that wire every continent together.  Why not just build a subway next to it? http://www.telegeography.com/products/map_cable/TG_CableMap_1200x1600.jpg
